I have fished out of the sleepers at twin pines and after 2 years of having rattles reels down I have yet to get a bite. I can't see any logic to why they place their sleepers where they do. The last two years the houses have been out in the middle of a nowhere with no structure of any kind. I am sure schools of fish will cruise the area on the way to feeding areas but there is nothing to concentrate any fish.
With that said I will be there again in early Feb. just becuase they have a good price for the sleeper for the amount of guys I am bringing with and they are pretty friendly to deal with. I certainly don't go for the fishing.
You may want to check out Rocky Reef, its a little further south but still not real far away. I used Rockman a few years ago when I went with a smaller group and he had the houses set up on some decent perch. In his neck of the woods he is able to set up on good structure where the fish will be. He's got a website if you want to check it out. Rockman was also very helpful when I used his resort and they have really good burgers at the bar. Even if i don't stay at Rocky Reef we usually stop by on the way home for burgers.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
