It was a snowy and then a very cold week end on the south shore of Upper Red Lake! Fish were biting but not "jumping out of the holes" type of bite!! One customer caught a nice northern that he released so someone else can have some fun too!! Thanks to Swede from St Cloud for sharing his pictures with us!! Sounds like they all had a great time!
The picture is on the page entitled "2009 photo's". Sorry I don't know how else to show the fish!! Jerry has been on the lake since 5:00 AM snowplowing!
Oops...sorry the link did not come through on previous post!! (can you tell I'm new to this?!!!) www.battleriverrentals.com is where the pictures are at.
THANK YOU so much WebDude!!! That's the one I thought I'd put there but just didn't work!! Somedays I have this computer figured out and then there are the many others where....well, cyberspace gets the best of me!!!
Week end of Jan 9th-11th..... Fishing has really picked up this week end with lots of walleye being caught, northern, a few perch and even a jumbo slab crappie (all that we know of) being caught. So everyone should be going home with some tasty walleye from the cold waters of Upper Red Lake! Nothing better than a dinner of fresh caught walleye fillets! Houses are set at about 15-16 feet of water and a long ways out from shore!
Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm. ~ Author Unknown
