Just got back from the Lake Kabetogama. We fished around the area of Cutover Island and caught good numbers of walleye (most 19-22", so back they go) in about 18-20' of water. In the evening the narrows on the NW side of Cutover was good for sauger. Small jig (green seemed to be the best) and fatheads. I saw one of the local guides fishing on the west side of Ramshead one afternoon so I may try that on the next trip. That spot was hot all last summer so maybe they are still in there.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
