This past month has been a good one.
We have been CPR'ing many gorgous slabs and gills.

The bite varies from lake to lake depend on water clarity as to the time of day.
Waxies, minnows and small artificials have been the key to catching these fish.
Just about all of these fish have been caught tight lining working the water column in 20-30 fow.

We are using flashers to mark the fish and read their moods.
Our rods have spring bobbers to indicate the strike.

Here's a sample...

Went out with Dad today to try out his new rig I got for his Christmas present.
They were sort tuff today.
Dropped to 100th oz hair jig and worked 10 fish for everyone we caught.
I sent him home with a few to eat.
It was a warmer day today and the slush is piling up.

I had a blast helping Dad work those fish up.
Here's a few of the day.

The ice is getting thicker out there.Good enough to drive on.There was some slush ,but thats freezing now.

Do not know how to post videos so I'll just add the pics as time allows.

The slabs are in their winter haunts.
Deep basins are what I'm targeting.
Some waters they hug the bottom and in other waters the schools have been suspended.

My flasher of choice is a LX3tc and I've switched to Austin rods with St.Croix style springs.

My bait of coarse is that jig I tye.64-80th or 100 th oz.
Here's a few more pics.

Still out in the deep basin working 28-32 fow.
High pressure today and had to drop to 100th to get anything to give chase.

Another super tough weekend.
Working depths of 21-24'with 100th oz hair jigs.
Most other guys left with nothing using meat.
Here's a few pics from the weekend.

We switched gears for a small lake this last weekend.
Went to shallow water in 10 fow for some gills.Caught and released several.
Can't post pics for some reason.
