I fixed your link and pics for ya.

Still waiting for my first trip out on the ice, getting a little antsy.

Ahhh, the infamous eelpout.

I have heard varying opinions on their edibility, from "poor man's lobster" to "don't go near it" (paraphrased due to this being a family-friendly forum). I have never had it, but I assume that 1) because its related to saltwater codfish, which are good eating, and 2) it spends most of its time in cold water, its gotta taste at least decent. Thoughts? Is some of the dislike due to the fact that they are ugly buggers?

I've never had one but have heard its not bad. Maybe the next one I catch will get tossed into a pan. With enough breading almost anything is edible I suppose.
