I've been keeping a species list this year... figured I'd share it and see if anyone else did too. The weight after the species is the weight of the largest I caught. With a ? after it means I am estimating because a scale wasn't available.

If you have been keeing one, post it so the rest of us can envy you! wink smiley

Got a pair of 18inch, 5wt fly rod,BH Purple Wollybugger,
really the only fish of size this year, Great lake right
on the edge of the BWCA.

RE: the spotted bass...

I've caught them in at least 3 different NW metro lakes, including Minnetonka.

We're not _supposed_ to have them up here, but there is absolutely no mistaking the russet eyes and the blotchy lateral line markings... they were spotteds, not largemouths. The biggest I caught was right around 1# in a tiny lake in Minneapolis.

As long as they don't all have to be in Minnesota, then:

Largemouth bass 21 inches approx. 5 lbs.
Black crappie 10 inches
White crappie ??
Hybrid crappie?? (we caught a bunch one day and they all could have been included)
Yellow perch 8-9 inches
Sunfish (not sure of species) 6-7 inches
Peacock bass 15 inches
Mayan Ciclid 10 inches
Oscar 8-9 inches
Caribbean lobster 3.5 inches (carapace size which is the minimum to keep)
Sailfish approx 45 lbs. (released)
Mahi mahi 31 lbs. (dinner)
Bar jack approx. 2 lbs.
