Just got the photos back. I took another young lad out on Bald Eagle. We caught a load of nice sunnies, but the highlight for the young guy was when we started casting for bass and northerns with spinnerbaids on a weed flat.
The photo tells the tale. He also hooked a really, really nice northern...about 7 lb, but even with coaching, he momentarily dropped the rod tip when the fish got near the boat, and you all know the result of that. Never mind. As I said, the smile tells the tale:
hay mineral man, ive been fishing bald eagle for 3 months its now my lake of choice ever sence i cought my muskie out there in augest i was wondering if youve ever cought muskie out there and wehre do i fish i know the islands are good and the shore lines in about 8 to 10feet of water wehre the weed is. but i have not cought anyting sence then.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
