I have been hunting with my son (11). He is not caring a gun yet but he is ready! We took a ugly 3 pointer on saturday. We got a glimse of Billy Big Buck on Saturday morning but I'm not into lobing bullets into the wind. We have this weekend before I head to Wisconsin. Sounds like your going to get into the hunting thing?
I think you mean the Remington 870 express/combo. It can be purchased in black synthetic or wood you get a slug barrel with sights and a 28" shotgun barrel. I own a 870 express (combo), 870 wingmaster (same basic thing except better wood)(with slug barrel, 870 express super magnum (duck gun that will take the 3 1/2" 12ga shell). I also have a 870 express in the 20ga. My oldest 870 is known as the Paddle for obvious reasons. I like them alot due to the pump and reliability. I also am a big fan of the synthetic stocks because they take a bit more abuse. Dont get me wrong I love my berreta but when I hit the brush the nice guns stay back.
I have been to Missouri and hunted last year in MN around my house. We won't talk about the one I missed....... I still get a little teary eyed. I really like the camo! I use a BPS 10 gauge for turkeys. Yeah 10 gauge and I missed but I have alot of feathers to show you...
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
