Anyone else noticing this? Seems that the population is really picking up out there. I went out on Sunday and caught 6 while just horsing around - largest was a 19". Fished out of Wayzata Bay and was having a blast. Went there for some bucketmouths but got this unexpected bonus instead. Now I have been fishing that lake for years and I have heard of others that have caught smallies, but I never personally caught one myself, then all of the sudden 6 in one day!
Yeah, I've been hearing the same for reports out of Minnetonka. Smallies have a tendency to really grow in population once they are in a lake. I hope that this won't disrupt the other fisheries in there. Something to keep an eye on...
