I was casting and catching fish on a lake when a boat with 3 drunks motored up and anchored within casting distance, which I hate. Pretty soon one of them started yelling orders to his buddies: "Get the motor up! Move those poles! I spilled my beer, but I don't care because I've got a big fish on!" The excitement continued for awhile until he discovered he had hooked and was fighting his anchor rope.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
