Iv'e been out on the big pond for the past 2 weeks and the walleye bite has been getting pretty slow. I've been pretty much fishing the northewest side because on most days, it seems the wind is pretty gusty. We have been trying to throw just about anything at them, but I think the crayfish population is definitely interferring. On a postive note, though, the smallie action is really starting to pick up. If you want to catch anything, I recommend you just forget about the 'eyes right now and go after some other species. Might improva as fall comes on.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
