Did pretty good on Saturday. Memorial weekend is when I help my wife around the house with flowers and stuff. Managed to get out that day though. Thanks Doug for showing me the spots. We caught around 40 fish. Crappies mostly. Used crappie minnows and flu flus. Black an white mostly. Most caught in less then 5 feet. We kept 14 in the well and it made for great eating. We each caught pretty hefty bass too. Lots of fun on the light tackle. I don't think the crappies were at there peak yet. Was still kind of chilly out on the lake. Next week should be banner, especially if the weather warms up.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
