Went up to Blackduck Lake last Wednesday-Friday and the fishing was terrible. There were six of us with 2 boats and my boat caught 3 nor therns and 6 small walleyes in those 3 days. And the other boat only caught 1 northern! Slow, slow, slow. We stayed at Tomahawk Lodge. I was not impressed. The cabins were nice and we had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and cable tv. But there was no lodge, no bait, no tackle, no ice, no gas, no electicity on the docks, and no boat landing. And all of this for only $230/night. We definately will not be going back there again. It was nice to get away, but very disappointed with the fishing.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
