Welcome to My Fishing Pals. Glad to have you aboard!
I fish that lake once in a while. It is a fairly good crappei lake, though this time of year it can be tough. There are also some nice muskie in there, if that is your thing. Crappies are scattered and depper this time of year. I also latch onto an occasional walleye out there.
Try the south side of the island in the drop-off... might find something in there...
I posted a topic of Bald Eagle bout a week ago, must of missed it. I have had great luck on pike and bass on the west shoreline. Anything from a feather jig, to a yellow and black plastic (preferably the weedless kind) Last year I hooked a 7lb 32inch pick trolling on the south end of cigar island. There is pretty good action on the south side of cigar.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
