Anyone know of some good fishing spots on Coon Lake (anoka county) I have tried all over and found no luck. I will be there this weekend and could use some tips on where to go. Mainly, crappies or walleye. I know it's a big muskie lake, but I'm not interested in fishing muskie this weekend.
I also fish coon lake alot because my father lives on the lake I havent caught any crappie there because i havent tried But i have caught eyes there and have had my best luck on the north side of the lake in the little inlets where there are spots that go from 6-8 feet and drops to around 20 feet but from my experiences the eyes in the lake are on the small side I will be up there on Sat doing some Bass fishing and also some Sunfish fishing with my girlfriends daughter. have fun and good luck!
Well im afraid that I didnt get much of a chanch to fish coon today because I spent most of the day tubing with my lady's kid but i did fish a little and want for northren and caught one off a daredevil and thats it but i was only fishing for about 35 mins so i was happy with it. I hope you had some luck let me know how you did!
Not much luck myself. Did about an hour of fishing in the morning, caught some small panfish. The rest of the afternoon, we did some tubbing and wakeboarding. Damn it was a busy afternoon on the lake, there were a few knuckleheads on jetskis flying around the lake (they were pretty close to my boat.)
The Idiots on the yellow jetski with the mohawk also came about ten feet away from our boat while we were pulling a tube ...dont know what we could of done about it besides stay out of their way which is what we tried to do!
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
