Welcome to the site, GilmanIda. Could you narrow the lake down for us? We have lakes named Ida in Becker, Blue Earth, Douglas, Hubbard, Otter Tail and Wright counties. In the land of 50,000 lakes, it's hard to come up with a unique name for each.
The lake is stocked regularily with walleye, though they can be hard to find. The size are above average (1.7 lbs or over 15"). Notherns and Large Mouth are pretty good in numbers, though they can tend to be on the smaller size. Reports suggest that smallmouth bass fishing can be exceptional at times.

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
