i was just really bored and decided to make a poll on what your favorite fish to fish for was. it can be a freshwater or saltwater fish. and tell your favorite place to catch them.

Message for T-bone...
you say you like to fish for smallmouth on the cannon river?...
well which part of the cannon river do you fish
and what do you use?
i'd like to try some smallmouth action down there but dont know
where to find the right spot and what kind of baits to use...
if you could help, that'd be AWESOME!
=)

i fish in northfield right below the dam. but smallies bite the best around july. i use 17 lb spiderwire with a perch colored grappler shad made from the same company that made the walley diver, or a fat rap or shad rap but there are alot of snags so get heavy line. in that area there are alot of walleye white bass carp and bluegills. the smallies there are HUGE. the biggest i caught was in late july and it was 7lb-4oz if you go there this summer i'll probably be there. good luck
