Hello all, foolish question here, but I usually just fish the Missouri river for cat, so I really don't know;
What is the correct/best retrieval method for a bucktail, and spoon when trying to entice the pike to hit near the bullrushes? Any advice is much needed, and I will happily try about anything this year.
If you know you have a follower, stop it then start it up again. Or if your reeling with the rod pointing to your right side turn your rod to point to your left, that'll make the lure change direction slightly. Speed up, slow down. any thing like this will trigger a strike.
