This will be my first walleye opener this weekend! The rest of the team and me will be out on White Bear Lake. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers for me, about the location or what bait to use ect ect...? Looking forward to lots of helpful hints. I want to catch a big one to make a memorable weekend!
Welcome to My Fishing Pals. Glad to have you aboard!
That's an interesting website you have there.
Fishing on WBL has been a bit slow. The crappies are starting to come around but the 'eyes have been hard to find. I heard the water level is down quite a bit this year as it was last year, so be careful in the boat. Crappies have been going to the warmer waters and last week they were found at around 14 feet, but the bite was slow.
Hope this helps... the water temps and the late ice out is going to make finding fish a bit different this year, but I bet if you find them, you will probably catch a bunch.
