Can anyone explain the new fishing license dates versus Trout stamp dates? If I am correct below?
New Fishing booklets state that General Fishing license is good through April 30, 2009. However, booklet appears to say that Trout stamps are only valid through February 28, 2009.
If so, what is the DNR reasoning? I was shocked to find out my license was good until April 30th but my Trout Stamp had expired. I ended up purchasing a new license and stamp but I wonder how many people were fishing for trout between March 1st and April 30th thinking that both their license and their stamp were good until April 30th.
Next March 1st, do I buy a Trout stamp for 2009/2010 and then purchase a fishing license sometime before May 1st?
