I have read that Lake Marion has some good walleye fishing, but have not made it down there yet. check it out on the MN DNR lake finder, see what you think.

Minnetonka really is a great Walleye lake from the northeastern
end to big island, i.e.- Wayzata Bay, Browns Bay,
Fish the deep side of the weeds, this time of the year
maybe 12-25ft they should be there get them before the big boats
chur up lake to bad(you have till Memorial day) the east end
of the lake is deep and rocky in a lot of spots, and there is a
great gravel flat on the tip of the NE end of big island.

Marion isn't worth the time in my opinion. Many people know it as the dead sea. Has alot of tiny panfish, small pike and some bass. Walleye are there but not in great numbers. Not many people have much luck with them.

Thanks for the tip nofish, ya saved me a trip. Maybe Tonka is the better bet. I just dont like all the boat traffic when I'm in the canoe. Last year some wake-board boat almost swamped me, he never even looked back when he passed me in a no-wake zone.
