When we were kids, we used to make lures out of those creepy crawler sets. Anyone remember those? I actually caught a bass on one smile smiley

Those are some Nice lures JCU, was thinking of making some top-water poppers out of an old wooden handle stick, or looking for large metel spoons at garage sales and cutting the handles off. Musky baits are very expensive for my budget, might as well try a little shade-tree logic for what its worth. good luck on the water w/ yours.

There was a guy who used to hang around here a lot who made his own jigs. I think they were called D.A. JIG, or something like that.

Got in to fly fishing a few years back for the challange(heavy weight by the way--bass,pike,muskie). Then my buddy and his wife started making they're own flies--another challange! So I started making a few and we'll see what happens this year. The local pet store is great for realistic presentations.

Catch'em Fast!

Thanks Guys, Ive been making my own for several years now and have had very good luck on the glide baits in the top 2 pics, the trolling bait on bottom has been allot of fun to run but no fish yet, I tried making a run at manufacturing them for about 3 years but it's tough and I'm too picky, who knows maybe I'll get back in some time.
I donate a few baits to a Cancer Benefit Auction for Angler 911 every year and was presently surprised when that top bait fetched $107.00 if I coulda sold it outright that would be about $2.50 cents per hr LOL when the 911 Auctions come up I'll post a link its mostly Guide Trips, Muskie Baits and that sorta thing.
Thanks guys I'll post a couple more baits I like mess with.
