I heard on the news that they are looking into if there may be charges filed. How sad. Is our government and police that hard up for money? Let these poor people be.

It is a very sad story. My heart goes out to the family. That being said the police have to investigate it. It has nothing to do with money ! crazy smiley A kid is dead!! The kid should have been right next to his Dad. I don't want to sound cold but, You don't pull the trigger until you KNOW what your shooting at.

Charging a man with a crime actually COSTs the government money. Its is expensive to hold a trial and if he faces jail time its expensive to give a guy room and board for a few years.

Why would you think the state would make any money off of him?

You can sure know for a fact what that guy will be thinking of each night he tries to go to sleep. His life will be messed up forever. How sad. Can't even imagine. Prayers for the family for sure. Skeeter
