Heres some more information on Mille Lacs. Several years ago I was at one of the nettings done by the native americans. I talked to the DNR and he told me that it took 7 male Walleyes to fertilize the eggs of one female. I was shocked ! If all the male Walleys are netted first in the spring shallows, thats a lot of males taken from the lake as the males come in to the shallows before the females ! I asked him what would that mean for Mille Lacs ? He said you can figure it out !
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
