Well I went out but I don't have anything to show for it except sunburn and wind burn. I spent 2 days fishing Spring Lake North and South. They are located in central Illinois just south of Peoria. The water temps were up to as high as 54 on the South end and 49 on the North. The ice went out on the 12th and 10 days later they were this high already? Too warm too quick? Maybe I'm not a good enough fisherman. It sure was nice to get out after 5 months of cabin fever. Get ready guys, the warm air will get up there soon! I will be sending some fish pictures up your way soon! If you get a chance check out this guy's web site. He doesn't do it for profit of any kind, but he has video and pictures of his last 250 fishing trips including Spring Lake.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
