well its not the same report as last time.but here it is,the roads are getting bad lots of deep holes.zipple has been doing a great job as always to keep the roads in great shape.they have been plowing new roads around all the big slush holes.the roads are starting to get rough.as for fishing well tuesday started off very slow only 3 keepers and 1 perch.we didnt start fishing till about 3 pm we were to busy talking to nick and planning out route to take the house off on thursday.but anyways on wednesday we started the mornin off with suspended fish about 10ft off the bottom.i hooked a nice walleye 19 incher.then my father in law followed by getting a nice 17 1/2 incher.then a few saugers came through nice 1's also. 4 suagers smallest 1 was 15 inches and the biggest was 16 3/4.fish wasnt fast by no means but we were catching fish all day on wednesday.we caught around 60 fish between both of us.the thing i did notice this trip out in 30ft is the nice batch of walleyes we ran into.8 walleyes biggest was 19 incher and our smallest 1 was 15 the rest of them were between 15 to 17 inches.if you have read a few of my reports we were only catching saugers for the last 3 weeks with only 1 or 2 walleyes being caught out in the deep water.so on thursday we didnt even fish since we had caught out limit so we just pulled the house off right away thursday mornin while every thing was still froze.nick and the crew did a awesome job on keeping the sand bar nice and frozen.everything went very smooth for us for pulling our house back to the resort.i hate that time of yr when you gotta pack up every thing and hook the house up and pull it to shore.but ice fishing is not done yet.the best is yet to come.11 trips = $1000 in gas.+ 12 cases of beer = $240 and 4 half gallons of captain = $96.bait = $138 being out on the lake with family, friends and the zipple clan priceless.
and a big thank you to all the guys at zipple bay resort for there hard work this season when i needa help or anything thye were always there to help me out.nick and the crew did a awesome job this season.
my next trip to zipple will be after easter chasing the hogs for sure.zipple will soon be closed cause they will be headed to a nice sandy beach in Dominican Republic for 10days. _________________________
