So I have questions on line to. When fishing is slow on crankbaits I often opt for slip bobbers and sucker minnows. Am I correct in assuming that a line that doesn't stretch will be better. Many times my bobber will be a good distance from the boat, and to set a hook with a stretchy mono line seems counter productive. What kind of line would be best suited for fishing large suckers on a big slip bobber rig. I am rigging up a spinning outfit not a baitcaster.

I like the superlines. I.E. fireline, powerpro, etc. Little to no stretch no memory. I use it on all my reels.

Take a kid fishing, it'll keep you young.

Im a big fan of superline/braid also, but for live bait bobber fishing I like fluorcarbon, less visibility and still no stretch. I spool up w/ braid, and keep some fluorcarbon w/ to use as leaders when bite is slow. Mono I use for trolling w/ med action rod

When I finally tried fluorocarbon myself 2 years ago .. I only use mono on the one reel that I throw in-line spinners on anymore.. since they make a mess of the fluorocarbon.

Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!
