Recently I have tried to become much more educated on different types of rods and their applications. I definatly beleive you need to use equipment that suites your presentation, but it seems so many people almost expect you to have a separate rod for every little fishing nuance. One thing I can't seem to get a good answer on is why are some rods only rated by strength and some by strength and action. It seems all should be labled with both. Also I don't understand why you would want a rod with a slow action? What good is a wobbly rod tip? Most of the time you hear about sensitivity and hooking leverage, which alway goes with a faster action. ALso I just don't see why a quality medim power medium action rod can't work well for most fishing presentations.
