I have a project that maybe someone could help me with. I'm trying to find a resource that would provide daily or weekly water temperatures on some Minnesota lakes ( located geographically).
What I'm trying to to is show that most lakes don't achieve optimum bass spawning temperatures until well after the traditional late May opener. So, if you could help me find this data, it would be appreciated
The closest your are going to find would be from the U.S. Geological Survey' National Water Information System. They do have a part that reports temperatures in real time, or as close as possible. I think they only carry 32 areas, though and some of the stations are hard to interpret. Also, they are more into water basins, then lakes. You might want to give it a shot, though. You have to play aound with it a bit. It's the best I can do...
