I know you guys up on the frozen tundra can't wait but I'm going Friday and Saturday to get me some fat bass and toothy critters! There is a couple of lake in central Illinois that have plenty of 5 pound bass and Musky in the 40" class, that are waiting for me this weekend. The lake I'm going to for the Musky, they say may produce a 50 incher this year. Could I be the one?
I got it bad! Tackle boxes sorted, hooks sharpened, reels cleaned, and relined, clothes packed, just waiting!
I havn't gone as far as sitting in my boat dreaming though. I have taken pictures of all of my tackle boxes open, and created laminated tags to go on the 3 suitcases so I don't have to look inside to remember whats in each bag.
6 poles, 1 ultralite for whatever small critters I want, 3 light for bass, 1 medium for big bass or northern, and 1 for musky.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
