My buddys boy is back for spring break so we went back to the crappie hole. We started out by eating the freezer dry Friday night with a nice lent fish fry. Saturday was a bit disappointing but Sunday brought allot fish and once again we were size challenged but we made the best out of it. Catching is still catching. We were a bit deeper this weekend coming in at around 17ft and using the same hair jigs. Size is a factor this time of the year and downsizing is really the ticket! Electronics is also a very big factor. The fish were coming in anywhere from dragging them off the bottom to 5ft up.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
