Well another opener has come and gone! Yikes it was cold out at 6:00am. It was not the best opener for me. I ended up with just a couple eyes and numerous pike. The fish really liked the minnows over the leaches for me. I also had my best luck fishing in 9 to 14 ft of water. I will assume this will changer very soon. The best reports I received came from the docks! I even heard of some limits.
On a bad note my lowrance lms-350 went down on Sat. and I was told by the factory they no longer service them. I can get a rebate letter if I send them the unit. This really sucks! A person can get really used to the electronics in a boat. I have power up to the unit but when I plug it in it blows the fuse. If anyone has any ideas please inform me.
I have to mention that the bridge crossing down by the pier went very smooth! hardly any traffic backed up!

Make sure that none of the pins in the plugs are bent in and touching one another. Other than that no other ideas come to mind. Did this jsut start happening? was there any changes to the setup since last year?

First thing I checked was the pins. I used to see that on monitors all the time. Yes just happened out of the blue on Saturday. I am now starting to think maybe a moisture problem inside the unit? It is stored inside but seals dry out?
Fireball if I upgrade do you have a recommendation for a similar unit?

Choices Choices and more Choices here are my recommendations you might want to look at the 480M 5" 17M has a 7" Screen or if you want color my personal fovorite the 332C 5 Screen (backordered for 45 days) all are great units for the price. Also depends on $$$ of course.

Ok I had a guy that does our circuit boards take it apart and he showed me 4 components that were fried (3) of them or cylinders with the same numbers and one is square. They all have a adjustable slot on the top.
Would anyone know were to get replacements?
Looks like a moisture issue. There was a cracked gasket.

You're right! The weather sucked. We went out at 6am Saturday and spent 14 hours in the wind and multiple rain storms. It was in the low forties the whole day. Fishing was hard, but we stuck with it. First day we caught a couple of small 'eyes, northerns, and a bunch of jumbo perch. Most of what was caught was in the big lake. We ended up with one 'eye at 18.5", the rest were just too small to keep.
Sunday, we did much better. Caught 16 'eyes along with a bunch of other stuff. Still mostly small, kept 6 in the live well, the rest went back into the lake. Most of these were caught in the rivers.
Monday we went out again, but frankly, we were too exhausted to give it a good shot. Decided to come home early and rest up before heading back to work and the real world.
Almost all 'eyes were caught on minnows with a couple on leeches, but minnows seemed to work better. Most were caught at 7 to 15 feet. Graphed a lot of fish on the bottom, but with the weather as screwed up as it was, I think they were just hunkered down and not biting.
The largest 'eye caught in our group (27 people I believe) was 19". We seemed to have missed the prize by a half an inch. Oh, well. Better luck next time! It can only get better, right????
