Has anyone been up there in the last week or two? What's the fishing report? What would you recomend I bring for tackle this coming weekend? I have the standard color hooks and jigs, I bought two jigging raps, but have never used them before. Do I just use them with a minnow head? Any input would be great!
Thanks,

And to add to BDs questions... I have done a little research and some are saying to use an Airplane jig with a wax worm, not threaded but dangling from the hook. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I am just learning this fishing stuff... so dont laugh to hard at me!!

this is what i use the most.red glow buckshot for jigging.on my deadstick i use a orange plain hook.2 weekends ago we did good using red glow jigs and white glow jigs.also the small gem n eye gold 1 worked pretty good.some days r diff then the next i use all kinds of jigs spoons hooks, rattling spoons the list goes on and on.on all my jigging spoons i just use the head off of the minnow.im headed up there this friday till sunday.then back up there again on tuesday till thursday.

Mnhunter has some good advice.

Normally you would tip the Jigging Rap with a head of a minnow but I have seen people use a whole minnow.

Must haves for any LOW trip are....

Gold jig's 1/8 or up to 1/4 oz tipped with minnow or minnow head.
Gold Jigging spoon tipped with minnow head.
Various Jigging spoons tipped with minnow heads.
Various glow jigs in glow Red, Green, Blue.
Plain hook Red or chartreuse for set lines.

Bring it all!
I remember one year I for some reason put a glow twister tail on a 1/8 oz white lead head and let me tell you the game was on! I dont waste alot of time with lures that do not at least attract the fish. I think the best thing to do would be to have me tail you the whole way and advise you of every lure you put on in the ice house! wink smiley OK maybe next time.....

We are headed to Wheelers Point, and we are hoping for the best. I have never used them before, but I'm hoping they can put us on some fish. SB, That sounds good to me, just have the truck packed tomorrow morning and we will be leaving about 9:30 smile smiley. You're right maybe next time. Thanks for everyones input, it appreciated!
