Hi,Capt Glenn Grimes reporting the SW florida fishing report for Pine Island Sound,Charlotte harbour area.Snook and seatrout have been the fish that has been hitting best.Redfish have taking a siesta for the last week. The snook have been hitting live bait and lures.Live bait such as greenback minnows and pinfish have been getting the nod. These baits are fished on popping cork with 16" of 40lb leader and a 1/0 short shank live bait hook.I have been freelining live baits also.Snook have also been hitting jigs such as the riptide and jerk baits have also taken some fish. The seatrout have been hitting the same baits on the same rig as above. Some nice trout are starting to show up.Trout to 27" were caught last week.Redfish seem to be a bit of a mystery right now.The fish are here but getting one to eat has been challenging. It has been mild as far as the wheather goes until today temps will take a plunge into the high 30's tonight but will warm up Sunday into the low 80's.This should put the fish back on the feed next week.Thank you Capt Glenn.
