I decided to try Martin for bluegill. Didn't find any, instead caught around 10-15 smaller sized White crappie. This lake had the dirtiest water that I have seen during the winter months. I couldn't even see the bottom of the hole. We drilled about 30 holes trying to find the gills and couldn't locate them. I heard that when you find them in Martin they are all big. Another lake out their is TYPO lake where I see the DNR netting resulted in some 15 inch crappie. They also stock it with walleye. Anyone know about typo?
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
