I bought 2 sets of rope lighting for my portable. They were supposed to be 6ft long. After opening them up they were only 4ft long. I will be bringing them back to Gander.

Anybody else use these kind of lights. I don't know if they will put out enough light or not. 2ft more on each rope would make big difference I think.

I have a fish trap x2. I'm gonna try different battery, maybe that is the problem. I haven't used them on the lake yet. Just in the garage. Fish are not biting out there either! laugh smiley

Best Hong Kong rope lights are the only way to go.

I have a 24 led light in my guide and it is bright plus they can run for a couple days on a fully charged vexilar battery.

Not a big fan of rope lights I have like 3 of them and they don't see much action.

Like Hotrod said Best Hong Kong lights are the bomb I would call them strips not ropes I bought 2 strips and only need one to light up my whole house.
They run forever on a Vex battery!

Most people have ordered them from Hong Kong.

I came a across a post on FM where somebody found them in stock at a bait store in Litchfield so I called them and ordered 2 strips and they shipped to me 3 days later.

Not sure if he has any left or not but here is the info.

Lake Ripley Bait and Tackle.... 320-593-2248... Ron is the owner.

Most of us have added a different cord to attach to the battery the provided one is kind of weak and has no clip on leads.
I used a phone cord for one and regular #16 wire for the other, I did solder mine also.

The strips are 2 feet long with 48 led's and light up any house no problem.

If you order through Best hong Kong the item is BMS48W for the 48 led strip (24") or BMS96W for the 96 led strip (48").

If they have them in stock they will take about 2 weeks to get from Hong Kong.
