I bought 2 sets of rope lighting for my portable. They were supposed to be 6ft long. After opening them up they were only 4ft long. I will be bringing them back to Gander.
Anybody else use these kind of lights. I don't know if they will put out enough light or not. 2ft more on each rope would make big difference I think.
I have a fish trap x2. I'm gonna try different battery, maybe that is the problem. I haven't used them on the lake yet. Just in the garage. Fish are not biting out there either!
Not a big fan of rope lights I have like 3 of them and they don't see much action.
Like Hotrod said Best Hong Kong lights are the bomb I would call them strips not ropes I bought 2 strips and only need one to light up my whole house. They run forever on a Vex battery!
I came a across a post on FM where somebody found them in stock at a bait store in Litchfield so I called them and ordered 2 strips and they shipped to me 3 days later.
Not sure if he has any left or not but here is the info.

Most of us have added a different cord to attach to the battery the provided one is kind of weak and has no clip on leads. I used a phone cord for one and regular #16 wire for the other, I did solder mine also.
The strips are 2 feet long with 48 led's and light up any house no problem.
