Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to the forum and to ice fishing. Just got an auger this past weekend and want to walk out somewhere on Minnetonka. I'm closer to the eastern bays (gray, wayzata etc) so any advice for someone doing it without the cameras etc. would be great. I'll be sure to post my results (or lack thereof)! Thanks.
Welcome to My Fishing Pals. Glad to have you aboard!
I'll get Woodtic on here and maybe he'll post a report. He lives out that way and usually knows what's up out on Minnetonka. He's out of town this weekend. He went up north for some trout.
Phelps bay and Black lake for panfish. Good access if you are walking. You might want to try the east end too. I think there is a bait shop and they will help you. Grey's bay is good for crappies. You could try Halsteads too, along with Tanager. Lot of places to fish on that lake.
