So why do people like to try to hack a little 'ol fishing site located way up here in Minnesota? It's because it is a lot more popular then you think! I have been in the Web business for years (probably not as long as WebDude) and I have to say, that when it comes to development, marketing and downright knowing your craft, WebDude is probably one of the best out there. He has sent me many examples of the companies he works for and what he has done for them and to tell you the truth, I am impressed.
But what has this to do with fishing? Well... nothing really, except you have one of the best developers around who designed and marketed this website without spending a cent... just using his time. So, I decided to see what was up on the marketing end of things on the search engine front to see where exactly we stand today.
The following shows some of the rankings that My Fishing Pals get for certain searches (you can click these to check yourself)...
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
