Spent some of Saturday and Sunday out on Big Marine east of Forest Lake. Fishing was a biot on the slow side. Managed to get about 8 sunnies that were worth keeping. Also caught a nice sized Northern on a flu flu. That was fun. The reel had 4 lb test on too. Took a while to get it up through the hole. Locals are saying that the bit is bets eaither early or at sundown. Not a crappie to be found for me.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
