I fish Big Marine quite a bit. Haven't been able to get out there ice fishing this year yet, but I just got an invite from my brother-in-law who has a place on that lake. I have always had great success with crappies on that lake. On the east side of the bigger bay and into the narrows to the west, there is quite a drop-off that goes to 35 feet. Just look for the houses out there. You can get 'eyes on the lake too, but most people find it hard to fish these... they seem very finicky. It is stocked yearly, I beleive... at least in 2006 and 2005 with 'eyes. It's a great bucketmouth lake in the spring and summer.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
