I have a FL20 Vexilar that I have been using. Its great, except when I was out fishing this last weekend, I ran into some slush on my wheeler and had to baja my way out of the muck. When I got back to camp I realized my FL20 was sitting next to my auger and got some scratches on the lens cover.
My question is has anyone experienced the same situation? Were you able to remove the scratches with a buffing compound of some sort? If so what?
Ok, I called Vexilar and they sent me a new cover. It was spendy, but that will teach me from doing that again. $42.00 plus shipping and tax. Its as good as new! My advise, get the FL18 with the protection cover.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
