Well I was out there early in the morning on Saturday and pretty much fished 'til dark. We punched holes on the east side looking for any drop-offs and edges. Ice was anywhere from 5 to 12 inches. In about 22 feet, we latched onto a couple of 'eyes between 18 and 24 inches along with 4 pike. We had a bit better luck on the perch with about 10 keepers. We jigged spoons mostly. Not the greatest day, but not a bust either. Seeing l;ots of folks and ocassional fish. A lot of people were headed out towards the flats. No reports from there, though.
Anyone else on the big pond?
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot. - HookedGood
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
