Was out fishing over Pine Island for 3 days. 4 Mile Bay had about 11 inches and the lake about 12. Not alot of snow, so wheelers worked good. they should be driving today or by Friday. Some big houses were brought out with wheelers. fishing was great all day in about 20 to 25 ft. River shiners on about anything was working. But Gold is always my best up there. Had a great trip, and will be going back in 2 weeks. Hope this will help!!
I stay at Adrians. Been going up for about 20 some years. I have fished off Long Point, Zipple, and have did well at all. I think this time of year there is no bad place to fish!!All the resorts up there try there best to get you on fish. Its just hard getting a place to stay this time of year if your not a long time REG.
i been to zipple bay thats the only place i fish up there.i been going up there for the last couple weeks now and fishing has been great.last weekend it was 5 of us.we limited out on walleyes and 4 saugers.we threw back 1 27 inch walleye,27 inch pike and a 37 inch pike.we were fishing in 18 ft of water.all of our walleyes were anywhwre from 14 to 19 inches.we had 1 sauger that was 17 /14 inches.thats was a biggie of a suager.the other weeks we been there fishing was also great we all got out limits every time.lots of ppl r going ot deep i think.they r not doing all that good but they r still catching a few.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
