I always used portables before this year, but I broke down and bought a wheel house... Whats the best..(not the easy way) to set-up when going fishing....??? How about drilling holes for example.. I was thinking about buying a electric auger so I don't make a mess in the house... Any thoughts??? Maybe i Could mark the holes then pull the house away and then the holes.. And try to get the house pack directly on the holes????? Any info would be great???
Your on the right track and congrats on the New Wheel house!
I think marking your holes and then moving your rig forward will be your best bet for drilling holes with your wheel house it's pretty easy to get things lined up, in no time you'll be an expert. Plus its nice to scoop the slush out of the holes outside.
An Electric Auger would work also from inside or outside the house no smoke is a big bonus and the newer electrics have built in batterys.
Before the ice getsto 2'or3' just drill the holes with the house up when you get through the ice spin the augar all the ice and slush under the house then just drop the house down. good luck this winter the hard water is good water.
