Well we made it up to the camper Sat. afternoon after some frustrating turkey hunting! The camper was still there and no mice evidence was to be seen! The campsite was well into a day of raking and general outdoor care. Eagle point has its horseshoe pits in! Brand new docks! Deeper access for the boats! We had a chance to visit with all the new campers and catch up with the old ones.
Unfortunately I did not hit the lake yet ! (COLD SNAP!)
YES, these are the things I did find out in order:
4. REPEAT STEPS 1 THRU 3 EVERY HOUR.
5. Swamptrout stoped by and I missed him !
6. All the money that is being spent on the new Bridges would be better spent on Hwy 65 from McGregor to Mora! (just venting).
7. Be aware of the bridge construction it will add time. The stoplight idea did work well this weekend If you are heading southbound and are stuck in traffic on your way home from opener look to your left at the first sign that says one lane ahead. That is my campsite with the short stack of wood.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
