A PETA member would have removed the animal from the road. It is just common decency and respect for any creature. I would think ANYBODY of any decency at all would have removed the raccoon from the road. Even if just for the personal pride in job performance. No..for a person to take such small reguard for a creature leaves you with the inescapable conclusion that it was most certainly a hunter that did this.
Probably one of the thousands of "slob hunters" that will drive around in their truck with a 6 pack and loaded rifle looking to shoot something from the road. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy to know they will be out in force in a short time doesn't it?
This is news? WOW!!! We have troops in Iraq and a host of domestic issues and problems and this is news worthy? Perhaps we should spend some time considering issues of the day that are serious, problematic and need attention. I also find it interesting that because a man or woman chooses to "hunt" that it is inferred that they "only want to kill something"! It is late in the year of 2007 and it appears we have not come very far in our "tolerence" of different lifestyles and opinions ... unless those opinions happen to be "politically correct" at the time they are rendered!
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
