Yeah... I actually went out there this past weekend after reading some past reports on the forums here. I gotta tell you, my arms were sore from all the hook setting I was doing. I was using primarily Lindy rigs with redtails. We boated at least 50 walleyes and over 20 bass in a bit over 2 hours at 26 to 28 feet. A lot of the fish were small, but I did get a couple in the 18" range. I had never been on the lake before and really didn't know where I was. I just went out and looked for structure and fish. We were up on the North end pretty much, I think by Highway 371. All of this activity was on Sunday. Gotta hand it to the people at Sportland Bait, they tipped me off on some spots to try. I also looked at a map and didn't realize all of the lakes that are in that area. It looks to be about 50% water. A very nice area.

Thanks for the report, BigBite! It's been a long time since I've fished Gull. Might have to get up there again, someday

I headed up that way this past weekend to see if I could get some of those. Tried both Gull and Pelican using both fatheads and redtails. Fished mostly in the 20 to 30' range. Didn't find any concentrations of fish but kept catching at least one an hour. Not bad and kept some nice eaters. Tried the shorelines too but couldn't catch anything but bucketmouths. If your into those, I saw a lot of them caught. All in all a worthwhile drive for me. Thanks BigBite.
