Fishing on the big pond has slowed considerably. I made it out to 8 mile and 3 mile last weekend and got very few bites. We threw everything out on the water with just 1 boated - cranks, lindys, minnows, crawlers. I am going to blame this on the funky weather patterns as of late. I have seen some water temps up to 80. The topwater is very warm right now. That was Friday. Saturday we did a bit better at night on lindys. Boated 5, but kept none. The new slot makes it a bit tougher.

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
