Well, after this nice warm spell we had and the cooler weather this weekend coming up, fisgure the crappies go back deep? Lookin for some tips as I'm not a seasoned crappie guy.

Smaller baits? Slow presentation? jig n minnow under a float?

I don't think a week of colder weather will affect the water temp much, especially up north where ice out was as recent as 10 days ago. Even if it does cool down, if you have sun on the north end of the bays, that will keep the water temp up. I would continue to fish the same areas and depths until they move in. Last week in the metro area, we were catching them in 5 to 7 feet of water. Not in the really shallow parts yet, but getting there. If I went out again this weekend, I would probably fish the same depth.

I would think that the pressure situation would be more of a factor. High pressures seem to produce more fish, at least in my experience.

Might be wrong, just a thought....
