Okay, is anyone going to the Minnetonka crappie contest on Saturday other than me? C'mon... it'll be a good time!
Let's go fishin! Too bad you can't submit pictures on this site. I wouldn't mind showing off my little 6 year old and the largemouth bass she caught last weekend. It was fun.

I'm definitly going to the Crappie Contest!

The only downside is the low is supposed to be 31 on Saturday frown smiley

The upside is the crappies are biting!

I'm thinking of trying my new 2 inch white Gulp bait i just bought on a white jig head, how about everyone else?

Karen is right (Fred here) this contest is a BLAST! We don't paricipate so much for the the competition so much as we just love being on the lake with all of the other fisherman. It's a floatin' boat show! The fish are always biting and we always come home with a full stringer of Crappies & Sunnies. The entry fee is only $5.00 and it goes to charity (some form of cancer I think). The grand prize is a raffle drawing that you don't even need to be present to win! I'm convinced that the good natured Minnesota fisherman just show up to contribute to a good cause and just have a good time. Minnetonka has become one of the county's top fisheries over the years, and through conservation and responsible boaters/fisherman, the maze of lakes and bays offers almost anything you want for fresh water fishing. Anyway, I'll get off my soap box. Fishing Minnetonka this weekend is sure to be a great time. I'm organizing my tackle box, stringing my rods and shining my hooks. I'll let you know how we did after the event.

Hey KarenandFred,

If you email me the picture, I will post it here in the forum and on my pictures page. For more info on how to do this, go to Your Pictures and read the instructions at the bottom of the page.

While you are there, check out some of the pictures that have been sent to me.

I could write code to let you paste pictures into the forum, but I have been really busy lately.I can only dedicate so much time here since I have other sites that I do that pay the bills. All coding here is done by me with no "off-the-shelf" software being used. In other words, I build all this stuff from scratch just to see if I can. More details on this deleted>

Some of you already know that you can display your picture here if you have your picture on a public server somewhere. If you know html, you can tag it here. If you do not know the URL of your picture, right click it and look at the properties. Here is a snip of code you could use...

<img src="http://www.someserver.com/yourpicture.gif">

The -http://www.someserver.com/yourpicture.gif- is the URL.

Here is an example...

The code I used for this is...

<img src="http://myfishingpals.com/Minnesota-Fishing-Pictures/FishingMinnesotapatfish.gif">

If you right click this picture and look at the properties, you can see the URL.

Once again, if your picture is not public, just send it to me and I will post it here and on the picture pages.

Here's a snip of what else can be done. If you know a little code, you people can do this stuff too!

--snip--

By the way,

If you know how to write code, you can add it right in the text box. I will give you some basics here to get ya goin'

To make something bold do this...
<b>Hello</b>
and it will look like this...
hello

To change the color of the font, do this...
<font color=red>Hello</font>
and it will look like this...
hello

To change the color of the font AND make it bold, do this...
<font color=red><b>Hello</font></b>
and it will look like this...
hello

That's all for now. I am not here to give html lessons. Get a book and you can do all sorts of things ah... emmm ... within reason, of course.
--/snip--

Is this making sense to any one????
